The Battle at Talas River in 751 had some major global geopolitical consequences. The Islamic expansion eastwards was stalled and similarly, the Chinese expansion westwards was stopped and the people of China did not convert to Islam. China was isolated form the western markets and the silk roads were interrupted for many years. At the same time, many Chinese inventions and technologies (black powder, print paper, compass use, silk knowhow, ceramic art, etc.) were transferred to Persia and then to Europe. Finally, Turkic tribes one by one started converting to Islam while Muslims Persians started to use Turkic people as soldiers and especially as slave soldiers, which forced Turkic tribes to move westwards (Persia, Asia Minor, etc.) and southwards (India)….
